Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 10 June 2026

1. Who you’re dealing with

This website is operated by Sofia de Mello-Barreto, trabalhador independente, Portugal. Tax identification number available on request for invoicing purposes. Contact: ADHDwithSofia@gmail.com. By using adhdwithsofia.com, you agree to these terms.

2. What this site is

ADHD with Sofia provides educational content, free resources, and paid digital products for adults navigating life after an ADHD diagnosis. It is a peer-support and educational resource — see our Medical Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

3. Digital products and purchases

Paid products (such as The ADHD Budget) are sold through Gumroad, Inc., who acts as the merchant of record. This means Gumroad is the seller for payment, VAT and invoicing purposes, and Gumroad's own terms apply to the checkout process. We remain responsible for the content of the products.

Delivery. Products are digital downloads, available immediately after purchase.

Refunds. If a product isn't for you, email ADHDwithSofia@gmail.com within 14 days of purchase for a full refund — no justification needed. By purchasing a digital product and downloading it immediately, you acknowledge that the statutory EU right of withdrawal for digital content is replaced by this voluntary 14-day refund policy, which is at least as generous.

License. Purchases are for personal use only. You may not resell, redistribute, share, sublicense, or publish any product or substantial part of it, whether free or paid. You may make copies for your own personal use across your devices.

4. Intellectual property

All content on this site and in our products — text, guides, templates, graphics, and brand — belongs to Sofia de Mello-Barreto unless stated otherwise. You may share short excerpts with attribution and a link; anything more requires written permission.

5. Free resources and newsletter

Free guides are provided in exchange for newsletter signup. You can unsubscribe at any time and keep the guide.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t use this site to do anything unlawful, attempt to breach its security, scrape its content at scale, or misrepresent your identity.

7. No warranties; limitation of liability

Content and products are provided “as is.” We work hard to make them accurate and useful, but we make no guarantees about outcomes — financial, organisational, health-related or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to this site or a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Portuguese or EU consumer law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. EU consumers retain the protection of mandatory consumer rules in their country of residence. Disputes may be submitted to the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after changes means acceptance. The date above shows the latest version.
